Thinking back to your own beauty education, who influenced you the most? For many of us, there was a specific teacher who encouraged us to be the best we could be as we learned more about hair, makeup, skincare, nails, or massage therapy. If you are a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician, massage therapist, or nail technician with a passion for teaching others the skills of your profession, consider taking our Barbering & Cosmetology Instructor program. This 1,000-hour program is available at all four of our Iowa beauty school campuses. It includes hands-on, practical training with real classroom experience, allowing you to gain confidence as you direct a class and train students in the dynamic field of cosmetology. You could make a positive impact on the next generation of cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians, nail technicians, and massage therapists! Contact us to learn how to enroll.

The entire program can be completed in as few as 52 weeks. Student instructors must maintain a certain number of hours in the professional salon to account for salon/spa experience. They meet weekly with their Senior Advisor for evaluations and class planning.
Tuition and fees for the program is $4,150. Equipment, books, and uniforms cost $200. Total program cost is $4,350.
People who wish to enroll in the Barbering & Cosmetology Instructor program must have either a current Iowa license in the specific discipline they want to teach or hold a current Iowa barbering and cosmetology license and showcase the skills needed to teach in the specific discipline they want to teach.
While we are proud to hire the instructors who graduate from our instructor program, graduates have the option to apply and obtain employment at any beauty school of their choice.
